Heritage 1981 Mens Basic V-Neck

Posted on 11 March 2010 by ChristinaN

What can I say, I’m definitely a fan of forever 21, and when I’m shopping around of course I’m gonna have to check out the guys section for my bf @ Heritage 1981. I’m not so much of a flashy kinda girl, so I like him dressed in whatever sneakers he wants, nice pair of jeans, and a basic vneck with whatever outerwear he prefers, I think that’s basically hot. I stumbled upon there basic v-necks and decided to grab one for the bf. The v-neck is low at all, actually just right. The material is not thin compared to a few other selections of vnecks they have. I’ve bought him 2 so far but I’ll probably be back for more to grab him a few more basic black v-necks from here, and @ a steal @ only 6.90 each !

Air Jordan 6 “Oreo’s”

Posted on 11 March 2010 by ChristinaN

Arguably one of the better Air Jordan releases in sometime, the VI sees a new colorway, appropriately dubbed the “Oreo.” The kicks take on a mostly white base with clear out-sole’s detailing, black nubuck paneling, and splatter accents. A release is set for Saturday, March 20th. I’d have to say that I’m definitely really feeling these and when I first saw them I was like dayummmm ! Those are hott, the perfect name for the shoe, and it doesn’t help that oreo’s are my favorite cookies !

Adidas Consortium The Unforeseen Non-Dyed

Posted on 09 March 2010 by ChristinaN

The Unforeseen pack from adidas Consortium features some of the archives most sought after silhouettes re-worked with special materials and features to create a collection of truly unforeseen kicks. First up in drop one of the pack is a re-interpretation of arguably one of the most classic and desirable signature basketball shoes that was ever released by adidas and pre-empted the signature shoe craze as far back as 1978.

The Non-Dyed comes correct with a buttery, premium, full-grain leather upper that is soft, supportive and extremely comfortable. The pebbled, white midsole will be instantly recognizable to die hard basketball sneaker fanatics while the herringbone outsole is still perfectly suited for perfecting your sky hook in the paint if your headed for the courts rather than the streets. Branding is minimal and limited to the contrast stitched 3-Stripes and an embossed Trefoil on the tongue. Initially available in a range of colorways including Uniform Blue, University Red and Black – look for these at your local adidas Consortium retailer beginning March 13th, 2010. These are definitely clean and looking hott, something I’d definitely rock. Kinda reminds me of Nike’s blazeres though.

INTERVIEW X MORS FOOTWEAR

Posted on 09 March 2010 by ChristinaN

So I was able to find some time and steal Jonathan, the creative director and founder of Mor’s Footwear away from his busy, hectic schedule to introduce you guys to his line. Mor’s footwear is pretty rad, the shoe looks awesome yet very sleek and clean still with very high quality. Being able to find out of what’s to come for the next season actually has me psyched because Jonathan is extremely talented and capable of doing the unknown. Extremely friend guy with a creative eye.

1) What made you decide to use your last name for the footwear’s name ?

Well, the name is mors… (my name minus one ‘s’) which means ‘death’ in Latin and its an Island in Denmark too. It looks good on a shoe label as well… or maybe I’m an egomaniac.

2) What are your inspirations when it comes to designing your products ?

I take inspiration from all kinds of places… 80s sports stars, nature and vintage sci-fi are just a few.The important thing is to combine it all into a cohesive, stylish product.

3) Where are you based out of ?

London, UK

4) How did you get started ?

I started out as a footwear designer for adidas and designed for a few big sports and fashion brands before deciding to start out on my own.

5) So how long have you been in the game now ?

7 years

6) Where do you see your company in the next 5 years ?

Well respected and known for a high quality, well designed product.

7) If you could have a collabo with anyone, who would it be ?

Someone creative or known for quality, maybe an artist like Andy Warhol (yeah.. I know he’s dead).

8) Do you have a brand philosophy?

Creating high quality, stylish footwear with a fresh perspective.

9) What should we expect to see from you this fall ?

The fall range is really exciting. There’s elk suede premium runners, high top elk skin runners…Arctic fish skin sneakers too. All the leathers are sourced from the arctic, exclusive, tactile and rare.

10) What made you decide to go into the shoe industry rather than clothing?

I’ve always been into sneakers and I’m just doing what I love.

11) How do your shoes differ from other well crafted shoes?

Mostly in the kind of materials we use, I go to great lengths to make shoes in the highest quality, most interesting leathers there are (like arctic elk or fish skin). As the season’s progress, you’ll see mors stand out on its own more and more.

12) What’s an average day like for you as the company director?

Emails, emails, emails… sometimes I get to do some sketching too.

Mors Artic Fish Leather Fall/Winter 2010 Footwear

Posted on 09 March 2010 by ChristinaN

Mors, the UK based sneaker brand will be releasing a range of sneakers made from Arctic fish skin for Fall/Winter 2010 in limited quantities. The ‘hoop’ high top will be available in electric blue fish leather and a black/blue fish leather colorway. The ‘net’ low cut model will be available in a dark blue fish leather. The salmon leather comes from the north of Iceland, it is a very strong and supple leather with amazing textures and colors that have to be seen to really be appreciated. It is very difficult to make sneakers from fish leather, so they can only be produced in small numbers. They are handcrafted to the highest standard in Portugal.

The fish leather sneakers are part of the Autumn/winter Mors range inspired by the arctic and featuring arctic sourced leathers like arctic fish and elk. This will definitely be limited so be sure to get your hands on these !
