While many designers have taken a break from elaborate and luxurious fashion, due to the economic slip over the past few years, John Galliano refuses to compromise fashion for frugality, designing a collection which looked like it belonged on the bourgeoisie in the 19th Century. Attracting celebrities like Dita Von Teese, Kylie Minogue and Maggie Cheung who all sat front row. Absolutely a lot of impressive dresses on the runway.

For those who’ve been wanting Miss Lawn to express her creativity within the mens industry, get ready because it’s about to drop. GPPR stands for the Gentleman, the Philosopher, the Pervert, and the Rebel. “All embodiments of the manifesto for this line. It appeals to the young sophisticate, who opposes the idea of authority and caters to the artistic and design world…’blurring the lines between those pencil pushers and the know-it-alls’.” I’m really loving the look-book and images, everything just ties in well together, what do you fellas think ? Would you rock it or knock it ?

Over the weekend I was able to attend the Agenda Tradeshow held in Huntington Beach, CA. What better way for brands to show off there spring/summer collection by having it beach side in Sunny California. The show pretty much took over the Hyatt Hotel, the floors were flocking with people left and right. With such brands as Howe, IM KING, Supra, Fyasko & etc. Previewing there new collection. I have to admit that there was a lot that had caught my eye and what I was anticipating on seeing. Also quite a few of the newer and up & coming brands are killing it, taking risks, developing new ideas, just trying different things. I’ll try and post up some sneak peaks for you guys to take a look as soon as I get the A-OK from the brands, can’t wait to show you guys !

Over @ WWD they were given a sneak peak of Lindsay Lohans 6126 Line, but this time it will be a full line. The starlet is set to expand her leggings label, 6126, to a full-fledged contemporary apparel line for fall 2010, with more lifestyle brand extensions planned for 2011. This will be in addition to her role as artistic adviser at Ungaro, a job that has drawn significant attention and controversy to the French brand. The fall 2010 apparel line will comprise 100 pieces (spring 2011 will be 150) wholesaling from $18 for basic leggings to $300 for a leather jacket. Average retail price points will fall between $100 and $150. The 6126 leggings currently retail from $68 to $120, in which you can pick it up from sites such as 80spurple. How do you think this will play out ?

The collection will be a 55 piece collection set to hit stores nationwide and on Target.com on December 20, 2009. The collection will range from $9.99 for knee-highs to $79.99 for a leopard print jacket. I’m pretty excited for this, I think I might actually make effort into stalking my laptop once it hits midnight to cop a few items for myself. Kate and Laura Mulleavy, an awesome duo that’s always creative and on point with fashion & art. What do you guys think ?
